Madi & Dale – A High Country Wedding at Dargo

What a day it was! Madi and Dale tied the knot in true High Country style, surrounded by the rugged beauty of Dargo and the people who love them most. From start to finish, their wedding day was nothing short of magic.


Set against the iconic backdrop on the river behind The Dargo Hotel, the ceremony and celebrations were full of heartfelt moments, country charm, and a whole lot of love. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect—blue skies, golden light, and that unmistakable crisp mountain air.

One of the most unforgettable moments? Madi arriving at the ceremony on horseback with her dad. It was the kind of entrance that gives you goosebumps—completely fitting for this down-to-earth, adventurous couple.


With Julie Duffy officiating the ceremony, there was laughter, a few happy tears, and a whole lot of heart as Madi and Dale said “I do” in front of their nearest and dearest.


We headed up into the hills after the ceremony for photos with sweeping views over the valley—it was absolutely breathtaking. The landscape, the light, the joy on everyone’s faces… it all came together in the most beautiful way.


As the sun began to set, we made our way to the river for some golden hour magic. The light danced on the water, and Madi and Dale had a quiet moment together among it all.


Erin McKinney Music set the tone for the evening with soulful, acoustic vibes that kept the relaxed and joyful atmosphere going well into the night. And can we talk about the flowers? Tania Manning created stunning, wild-inspired arrangements that perfectly complemented the natural beauty of Dargo and the couple’s rustic vision.


Madi and Dale—thank you for letting me be a part of such an incredible day. It was an absolute honour to capture these memories for you.
