A lifelong love affair is how I’d describe my relationship with photography. Being behind the camera has always given me a sense of joy and I enjoy interacting with my subjects.

I discovered my natural ability and love of photography after shooting my brother’s wedding. Despite being an amateur, my work was praised and people kept complimenting me on the photographs. This experience inspired me to develop my skills and turn this passion into my profession. To begin with, I started taking photos of anything, anyone, anywhere. This fuelled my enthusiasm to convey the beauty of the world that is present all around: from the simple everyday things to life’s special moments.

To enhance my technical skills, I did some formal study and found this experience improved my technique dramatically and widened my horizons. I already had the eye for a good shot, but my studies gave me the opportunity to develop my skills in many areas, such as high impact portraiture, classic nude, children and babies and wedding photography.

Giving people the gift of beautiful memories through photography is my passion. However, I also enjoy entering photography competitions as it is nice to be formally recognised by non-clients for my work.

But above all, what pleases me most is the expression on my clients’ faces when they see my work, the tears on their faces, as they tell me I have made them look beautiful. To me, that’s what my photography is all about.
